The Serengeti National park
The wildebeest migration.
The burnt yellow savannahs of Serengeti are the finest known for the annual wildebeest migration, where approximately 1.5 million wildebeest, 250,000 zebras, and 340,000 gazelles trek across the landscapes in search of fresh water and grass. It’s fairly easy to track this amazing wonder, starting in the south (Ndutu Region) from December through to March, before gradually working its way through the Grumeti River (Western Serengeti) and up to the north from July to October. Our team is ready to give you the best front-row seat to this natural spectacular, and we have plenty of gorgeous luxury mobile camps that move with the migration.
Serengeti is spectacular knowns as year around destination, and we think you don’t necessarily need to follow the migration in order to tick beautiful wildlife off your list. In fact, sometimes it’s better to keep away from the crowds for a more exclusive experience – and we have amply of secluded areas to recommend.
Serengeti’s impressive wildlife.
From prowling lion pride and magnificent elephants to elegant impala and over 500 species of fascinating birds, some of the best game drives we’ve ever been on have been in this wonderful park. The Western Corridor, close by to luxuriant private Grumeti reserves, is one of our favourite areas for seeing the majestic game, and central Serengeti is constantly enticing animals with its verdant terrain.
Spectacular landscapes and experiences.
The sceneries are simply breath-taking too. The vast plains seem to go on forever, dotted with the odd acacia tree and winding rivers adorned with fig-trees, with majestic rock kopjes rising from the ground where lions laze in the sunshine. There’s plenty to do away from game drives too, from unique balloon safaris and bush picnics to walking safaris and discovering Maasai rock paintings. Our team are very fond of this untouched natural beauty, and we can’t wait to share our passion and knowledge with you.
