Lake Manyara National Park

Ngorongoro Crater

Arusha National Park

Serengeti National Park

Tanzania has been divided into 5 regions: Arusha, northern Tanzania (Famous one), southern Tanzania, western Tanzania, and Zanzibar & Mafia Islands.

The famous route among tourists is: Travel to Arusha and then continue into Northern Tanzania national parks for a safari before relaxing in Zanzibar. As a result, Tanzania’s southern and western regions are far less known to and are always less crowded by tourists.

Here is a brief summary of our Tanzanian highlights.

Northern Tanzania.
It can be simple to wonder why you would choose any other location but Northern Tanzania when places like the Serengeti, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area are all nearby.

It may come as no surprise that this is Tanzania’s busiest region as it attracts some of the greatest names in all of Africa. A great show-stopper and a place on Earth you really must visit at least once before you pass away.

Southern Tanzania.

Tanzania’s southeast Southern Tanzania may seem like a sad second place after reading the names of the popular regions in Northern Tanzania, but it has two major advantages: the cost and the less crowded parks.

Although the famous parks in Tanzania may not be present on every safari in Southern, it is substantially cheaper and calmer. Visiting the lesser-known Selous Game Reserve, one of the largest game reserves in the nation, and the Ruaha National Park will provide more than enough safari excitement and glimpses of the kinds of species you travel to Africa to see.

Yes, the Serengeti might be amazing but southern parks worth a visit. Western Tanzania Tanzania’s western region is untamed and amazingly free of mass tourists.

Parks in the west include the Katavi National Park, which is excellent for observing Big Game, and the Mahale National Park, which is home to an astounding number of chimpanzees. These are some of the least visited national parks and game reserves in the country.

Even though this location lacks attention, it nonetheless provides breathtaking beauty and authentic adventure.

Mafia and Zanzibar Islands.

Few names inspire as much creativity as Zanzibar. A mere 74 kilometers separate the island republic, which enjoyed independence for less than a year, from Dar es Salaam, the capital of Tanzania.

Although the beaches that round the island are frequently breathtaking, they are frequently also home to huge, enormous 5* resorts that may not be to everyone’s liking. Stone Town, an incredibly evocative town, nevertheless preserves much of its beauty from earlier times.

Mafia Island, which is located 160 kilometers south of Zanzibar, is much less gangster-like than its name may imply. If the rising strain of tourists is causing Zanzibar to sag, Mafia Island offers a much more genuine Indian Ocean experience with a fraction of the visitors.
