5 days camping safari itinerary
Day 1: Drive to the Tarangire National Park.
Start your 5-day camping safari with a hotel pick-up at approximately 7:45 am. Once introduced to the safari crew, drive towards Tarangire, renowned for its varied landscape, iconic baobab trees, and huge elephant herds.
In the afternoon, visit the Tarangire River picnic site, and have a picturesque view of the river and wildlife while having a fresh hot lunch.
After luch, continue the game drive until evening. Exit the park around 4:30 pm, then proceed to Karatu Safari Camp for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 2: Drive to the Serengeti National Park.
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro. Have a quick stop at the Ngorongoro crater viewpoint and then Proceed to the central Serengeti, known as the Seronera, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park.
Arrive at Naabi Gate Serengeti in time for lunch. After lunch proceed with an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti till evening.
Dinner and overnight at a public campsite.
Day 3: Serengeti game (Follow the Migration).
After an early breakfast, go on an early game drive, we will later have lunch and continue the game drive to the evening then return to the campsite for dinner & overnight stay
note; animals can be spotted on campsites.
Day 4: Serengeti game drive then Ngorongoro.
After an early breakfast will go on an early game drive seeing a lot of animals till the afternoon where will head to camp for lunch and pack doing a game drive while we exit the Serengeti heading to Simba campsite (2hrs drive) near the rim of Ngorongoro crater.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive Then Arusha.
Following an early morning breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater at 6:15 am, aiming to spot the endangered black rhino. These rhinos pose a greater challenge for sightings within the captivating crater, as other animals are generally more accessible due to the unique topography of this floor crater.
Following lunch, a game drive will ensue, concluding with an ascent from the crater to prepare for the return trip to Arusha, where you can opt for dinner and an overnight stay, or we can arrange transportation to the airport.
This will mark an end to your 5-day Tanzania Camping Safari with us.
