Best 4-day Tanzania camping safari itinerary
Day 1: Tarangire National Park Full-day Game Drive.
Start your 4-day Tanzania camping safari, around 7:45 am. After being familiar with your guide and chef, embark on a 2-hour journey to Tarangire National Park renowned for its unique landscape and huge elephant herds, and proceed with a full-day game drive.
Enjoy your hot lunch at the Tarangire picnic site, and spend the afternoon exploring the park. As the evening descends, make your way to Karatu Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Drive to Serengeti National Park for more game drive.
After breakfast, we headed towards the Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro conservation area.
Have a quick stop at Ngorongoro viewpoint, Olduvai gorge, and an optional visit to Maasai village.
Arrive at the Serengeti main entrance gate, Naabi gate. Then enter the park and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park till late evening.
Dinner and overnight at a public campsite.
Nb: Accommodation can be upgraded to a Tented Lodge.
Day 3: Serengeti then Ngorongoro Crater.
Start with breakfast then early morning game drive till lunch time. After lunch, we start a transfer game drive to Ngorongoro.
Dinner and overnight at Simba Public Campsite, found at the crater rim.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater game drive then Arusha
Descend the Ngorongoro crater (6:15 am) on a journey to find the rare black rhino.
Proceed with a game drive till lunch time whereby you will have your hot lunch at a picnic site (With a hippo pool view)
After lunch, proceed with a game drive and ascend the crater ready for the trip back to your hotel in Arusha or the airport.
