DAY 1: ZANZIBAR-NORTH SERENGETI

Early morning transfer to Zanzibar airport (around 5:00 am) depending on where you stay, for your flight to Northern Serengeti National Park, Kogatende Airstrip.

Arrive in north Serengeti and proceed with a full day game drive to the northern part of Serengeti (where the migration expected to be) near the Mara River in the hopes of seeing some of the migration herds crossing to kenya. Get ready for actions as most of the migratory don’t survive the crossing due to drowning and the area’s population of oversized nile crocodiles waiting to feast.

Enjoy a full day game drive.

Dinner and overnight at Sero Tented Lodge.

DAY 2: SERENGETI GAME DRIVE.

Today you will have the full day of game drive in Northern Serengeti for more wildebeest Migration Mara River Crossing game drives.

You can opt to go for a full day game drives (with a packed meal) and have more time to explore and tracking the wildebeest migration herds, or you can go for morning session, return at lodge in the afternoon for lunch and quick break, and finalize with the evening game drive session with sunset.

DAY 3: NORTH-CENTRAL SERENGETI

After breakfast, start with an early morning game drive in the North Serengeti and proceed with your 5-day migration safari to central Serengeti during afternoon.

Overnight at Into Wild Tented Lodge.

The endless plains of Serengeti are well known for setting for the world’s greatest wildlife spectacl, around the 1.5 million wildebeest, zebra and antelope annual migrating in search for fresh pastures.

DAY 4: SERENGETI-NGORONGORO.

Have the early morning game drives in the central Serengeti and then after lunch start a transfer game drive to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater.

Overnight at Ngorongoro Safari Lodge.

DAY 5:

NGORONGORO CRATER-ZANZIBAR

After breakfast, descend into the crater (around 6am) for a crater game drive. Proceed with a game drive in the Ngorongoro crater and have a stop for lunch at the picnic area.
Also called the eighth natural wonder of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact caldera in the world.

Later afternoon, drive to Arusha where you will proceed to airport for your flight back to Zanzibar, marking the end of your great migration Mara River Crossing experience.
