Tarangire Day Trip Safari From Zanzibar

Game drives through the park are more rewarding during the dry season when the animals of the park are close to Tarangire River. This offers a great opportunity to see plenty of animals in one place as well as predators such like lions hunting.

Day 1: Zanzibar to Tarangire for full day game drive

Depart from Zanzibar and fly to Arusha airport for your Tarangire day trip from Zanzibar. Arrive around 9:00am and after meeting your safari crew, drive to the Tarangire national park.

The Park is about 3000 square km in size and is best known for its huge elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and unique landscape. Tarangire is great during the dry season (June – November) as wildlife concentrate near the Tarangire river (only source of water in the park).

Proceed with game drive till lunch time, stop for a lunch break at the picnic site with a great Tarangire river view. After lunch, embark on afternoon game drive till evening. Checkout the park and start your drive to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight back to Zanzibar.
