5 Day Migration Calving Season safari itinerary.

DAY 1: TARANGIRE

Drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive (2 hours drive). During afternoon, your driver will set and prepare the table for a full hot meal at a picnic site with a glass of wine or coffee.

After a lunch, proceed with the game drive until evening and then drive to the Farm Of Dreams for dinner and your overnight stay.

DAY 2: SOUTH SERENGETI NDUTU.

Leave for Southern Serengeti in the Ndutu area for a whole day game drive following the big group of migrating wildebeests. till around lunchtime, find a spot to set up a table for your hot lunch.

After delicious lunch, continue your 5 Day migration Safari game drive until it starts getting dark. Then, head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Explore huge herds of wildebeest and zebra migrating and giving birth. During February, many wildebeest calves are born for over three weeks. The open grasslands of the southern Serengetil leave the new born calves exposed to predators and makes game drives even more interesting.

DAY 3: NDUTU FULL DAY GAME DRIVE

Have an early breakfast, followed by a full-day game drive in the southern Serengeti, Ndutu area. Explore the great wildebeest migration and a lot of predators, including lion, leopard and cheetah targeting the new borns. During lunch, return to the camp for a hot lunch and a quick rest rest before going on a game drive until the evening.

Lake Ndutu is alkaline like other rift valley lakes, however, the water at Lake Ndutu is still drinkable and used by wildlife. Most of the wildebeest migration herds are normally found in the Ndutu Area from December to late March.

DAY 4: NDUTU-NGORONGORO CRATER

Start with an early morning game drive in the Ndutu area, explore the grassy plains and tracking the great wildebeest migration. During lunchtime, enjoy a hot meal, and after lunch, continue with the game drive until evening, then head to Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight stay at Ang’ata Tented Lodge.

DAY 5: NDUTU-NGORONGORO CRATER

Early breakfast at the lodge then descend to the crater around 6:15am for a game drive until the afternoon. During afternoon, guide will set and prepare the table a full hot meal.

After lunch, proceed with the game drive till late afternoon, where will ascend the Ngorongoro crater and drive back to Arusha where we will drop you off at the airport. marking the end of your great migration 5 days calving season safari.

Ngorongoro is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. Visit Lake Magadi, alkaline shallow lake, which is one of the major features of the crater. A large number of hippos and waterbirds can easily be seen here.
